Silver is probably the most elusive of the basic materials in [Subnautica 2](https://www.rockpapershotgun.com/games/subnautica-2). It's easy enough to find Titanium, Copper, and Quartz, but for Silver you will need to leave the starting biome behind. And you'll need to find Silver soon, because without it you have no way of increasing your Oxygen supply for longer and deeper dives.
Even if you have already found Silver nodes, it's highly likely you've only found the large Silver nodes which can't be mined without specialised equipment.
